报告摘要
Radio emission is the most promising tool for studying the solar corona. To uncover the nature of solar flares and other active processes at the Sun, we need: a) high-quality radio observations with high spatial, temporal, and spectral resolution, and b) theoretical models and computer codes for analyzing and interpreting the observations. In this talk, I present the SiberianRadioheliograph - the new solar- oriented radio telescope that was recently constructed by the Institute of Solar- Terrestrial Physics(Irkutsk,Russia); I demonstrate a few examples of new observations and discuss what we can learn from them. I also present the GX Simulator - the new interactive software package for modeling the solar radio, X-ray and EUV emissions. The GX Simulator can produce, e.g., synthetic radio images of solar flares and active regions, which, by using forward-fitting methods, allows us to study the processes of coronal heating and particle acceleration.
