Title:Chinese Satellite Gravity Mission: Progress and Future

Presenter: Academician Xu Houze

Academician Xu Houze is a Famous Geodesist and Geophysicist. In 1991, he was elected a fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sci-ences. He is a researcher at Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was the Chair man of Asia-Pacific Space Geodynamics Program, Executive Committee of In-ternational Geodesy Association, Chairman of the International Earthquake Commission, International Gravity Commission Vice Chairman.

He has devoted himself to the research of geodesy and geo-physics for many years. And there are many great achievements .

He has publish more than 200 papers and 4 books. He won the “Science and Technology Progress Award” of the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation in the year of 2004. He was Distinguished Chi-nese Visiting Scholars in 2009. He received Paul Melchior award from the International Solid Earth Tide Commission in 2013.
